I noticed in the local paper that the L.A. Arboretum was having an event called “Serpents in the Garden”, featuring 30 classic Shelby Cobra’s. It was on a Saturday morning, about 10 minutes away and I hadn’t been to the arboretum in years, so I decided to check it out. Turned out to be a great event and all the vehicle owners were very friendly and happy to go into detail about their cars.
I’m not sure if it’s an annual event, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of classic Cobra’s.
“A collection of 30 classic cars known as the Shelby Cobra will be on display throughout the garden. The owners and drivers of the original and replica cars will be on hand to share their unique car stories. The show also will feature car and snake-themed children’s activities, including a car-themed scavenger hunt and a photo opportunity behind the wheel of a miniature car. Free with admission; members free”
